KATHERINE DALIN
OTA Music Studio Director
Katherine Dalin (Known to her students as Miss Kat) has been teaching privately throughout the greater Chicagoland area since 2008. She holds degrees in voice performance, theatre, and pedagogy and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Somatic Voice Teachers Association, and the American Guild of Musical Artists. Ever adding tools to her teaching toolkit, Ms. Dalin recently trained in the Lovetri Somatic Voicework method, a teaching method geared specifically towards developing students of Contemporary Commercial Music-a broad banner including many non-classical vocal styles (Musical theatre, folk, rock, etc).
Her primary instrument is voice and she is a teacher who practices what she preaches, performing musical theatre, cabaret, straight theatre, operetta, and opera. Praised for her onstage “exuberance” and “memorable” portrayals as well as her energetic and quick-witted sense of comedy, Katherine Dalin lights up the stage with her rich, luminous contralto voice and charismatic stage portrayals.
Her secondary instruments include: piano, violin and, the most recent addition in 2020: ukelele.
She works regularly with youth theatre companies both as a director and music director and also has the great privilege to teach early childhood music classes at several local preschools.

IAN WALSH
Guitar/Piano/Bass/Uke Instructor
Ian Walsh has been playing the guitar since he was 10 years old! Ian has been performing publicly throughout the Chicagoland area since age 11 and managing musical ensembles since age 16. He has been teaching music for over 10 years and is experienced in teaching children and adults of all levels. Ian earned his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ian teaches guitar, piano, electric bass, and ukulele. Ian can be seen performing regularly downtown with his band, Chicago Traffic Jam.
MASTER ONG
OTA Head Master
Master Ong is a 5th Degree World Taekwondo Foundation, 2000 World Champion Medalist, Certified International Taekwondo Master Instructor and Referee (World Taekwondo Foundation), and former member of Philippine National Taekwondo Team. Master Ong has been teaching since 1997 and has trained several Taekwondo champions.
